Ngozi C. Ekumankama
Ngozi, a Human Resource Practitioner and Researcher holds a Second Class Upper, Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Sociology from the prestigious University of Lagos. She also holds various certificates in Leadership Development and Training from various institutions including the prestigious Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA) and Centre for Management Development (CMD), Nigeria’s renowned Management Training Institute. She has over twenty years’ experience, nine of which were spent in the banking industry from where she went into private entrepreneurship and then into Management Development and Consultancy as well as capacity building.
Ngozi is passionate about sustainable Human and Institutional development in Nigeria and Africa in general. Her quest to see her dream of sustainable development in the society realized, led to the incorporation of Development Issues Consult Limited.
A graduate of the prestigious Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School (FRCN), she worked briefly with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Lagos.
An avid trainer, Ngozi has served as a facilitator to many bodies and organizations which include: Oil and Gas, Finance, Pharmaceutical, Maritime Industry, Ministries, Government Agencies, Parastatals and Churches among others.
An accredited Centre for Development (CMD) Trainer, she is a regular resource person for many training firms.
Ngozi is married with children.
Edna Akagbusum’s career over the last 28 years has spanned the areas of Public Relations, Communication, Advertising, Marketing & Related Activities, General Administration and Management, Consulting as well as Training.
A consummate professional, Edna has held several management positions in the course of her career and currently is the Deputy Director in-charge of the Publications Division of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Shangisha, Lagos.
In these roles, she has been responsible for various management assignments, paramount amongst them are Coordinator & Facilitator, both Basic and Advanced Management Trainers’ Development Workshop (Basic MANDEV) and (Advanced MANDEV); T-T-T workshops (in two tiers), for well-established trainers and consultants. She was also in-charge of the Head of Service Training of all federal officers in public service. Edna was the pioneer coordinator of the CMD/UI Postgraduate degree programme and currently the Head of Publications at the Centre for Management Development..
Edna has also coordinated and facilitated several other workshops such as Management Workshop on Essentials of Leadership; Customer Relations Workshop, Emotional Intelligence Workshop, Managerial Skills Improvement Workshop; Conflict Management and Resolution Workshop; Target Setting and Performance Improvement Workshop; Career Planning and Development Workshop; Strategic Management Workshop amongst several others too numerous to mention.
Always striving for excellence, Edna won the Chairman’s Honours Award for NYSC Members (1987); was given automatic employment by the Benue State Government in 1988 for outstanding performance and automatic employment in Daily Times of Nigeria in 1995 for Distinction in Journalism. She was the best graduating student with Distinction in PGD, Marketing at University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in 1995.
Edna holds a Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts from the premier University of Ibadan; Post Graduate Diploma(s) in Journalism and Marketing, a Masters degree in Public Relations from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and recently a Doctorate Degree from the European American University (EAU).
Edna is a Training Faculty Member of the West African Management Development Institute Network (WAMDEVIN), Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and several other Training Firms. She is also an Advvisory Board Member of the Lily Academy. She has also trained for many big outfits in Nigeria.
An Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (AMNIPR); Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) and Member, Chartered Institute of Administration (MCIA), Edna is happily married with children.
